Amazing Sunset.

July 4, 2011

We were at the Jamaican Grill for dinner this past Wednesday.

The cloud forms were interesting, so we started snapping off pix.

At 13 degrees north latitude – the sky changes in a matter of seconds from this…

to this.

But wait – that’s not all!  Moments later, we had the elusive sunbeam effect….

We ran from the restaurant to capture the event as best we could.

I’m sorry about the quality of the pics – my critieria for camera selection was the second cheapest one at the time.

A couple of the phenom in sequence:

90 seconds later:

the show was over.

It does pay to carry a camera wherever one goes.  The Pheebs is simply delicious in profile.

A perfect end to a perfect evening…On Guam.

I thought the sun only set in Key West.

      Gary!

      Glad to see you here!

Actually – the sunsets in Guam are fairly rare, as it’s cloudy more often than not in the evening. We caught a good one last night, but it’s been a week since the last one.
